Court and I decided to go up to the cabin with baby Carter this weekend. Whitney and my brother Vincent decided to join up with us. We had a ton of fun!
We heard that the fridge had croaked, so we brought up our mini fridge to leave at the cabin until we could get a new big one. When we got there Gary and Lorie had left a note saying that the power strip switch had been turned off and that's why all of the food went moldy and gross! I think she spent several hours scouring the yucky yucky moldy gross fridge. Thanks Lorie! Please remember to not flip that switch. Also, take all of the food that you bring up home with you. Even if you think someone may be coming up soon. The only things that you may want to leave are maybe ketchup, mayo, mustard. We don't want Lorie, or anyone else having to go through that again. Gag!
Okay back to the fun stuff. So Court was unloading our stuff (I really can't lift hardly anything because of my surgery) so I watched the presidential debates. They were really interesting this year with our economy the way that it is and the war going on. When Vincent, and Whitney came up we bbq'd, made a campfire and had s'mores. We also watched a couple movies! Good times! Then next morning we ate a bunch of junk food for breakfast. Cinamon rolls, peanut butter bars, and candy. Great huh? I had a stomach ache from that for sure! The boys played horse shoes, stacked a bunch of new wood that Gary had chopped into the covered wood bin thing. We cleaned up at took off.
The weather was absolutely perfect! At night we did need to use the area heaters, mostly just to keep baby warm. The trees are amazing right now! I will post pictures of our trip with a slide show so you can see what it looks like!
